The USS North Carolina (BB-55) My all-time favorite warship. As an elementary school student in North Carolina, I donated nickels and dimes to save this ship back in the early sixties.

The Locations of the Eight Remaining US Battleships

I posted about this today in my Roadlog blog.  All saw service in World War II, and one was also in World War I.
