PATRICK J. HANNIFIN (1923-Jan. 9, 2014) Graduated USNA in 1944, eventually becoming a vice admiral. Served in the submarine USS Balao (SS-285)during World War II. Later commanded USS Diodon (SS-349), USS George Washington (SSBN-598) and USS Lafayette (SSBN-616). A member of the Silent Service. //// JACQUES LAZURUS (1916-Jan. 8, 2014) Leader of the Jewish resistance in France after being forced out of the French Army by the Vichy Government.
