The USS North Carolina (BB-55) My all-time favorite warship. As an elementary school student in North Carolina, I donated nickels and dimes to save this ship back in the early sixties.

** RAYMOND ARTHUR BARKER-- Corporal, Co. C, 1st Corps Tank Battallon (Medium) "Condor."
MIA Betio, Tarawa, 20 Nov. 1943. Accounted for 10 October 2017
