My Cooter's History Blog has become about 80% World War II anyway, so I figured to start a blog specific to it, especially since we're commemorating its 70th anniversary and we are quickly losing this "Greatest Generation." The quote is taken from Pearl Harbor survivor Frank Curre, who was on the USS Tennessee that day. He died Dec. 7, 2011, seventy years to the day. His photo is below at right.

Pearl Harbor Survivor Frank Zylowski's Ashes Spread at the USS Utah Memorial
From the January 19, 2018, DVIDS "USS Utah Memorial Welcomes Home Another Pearl Harbor Survivor" Jessica Blackwct.
Mine Counter Machinist Mate 1st Class Frank Zylowski's ashes were scattered in a ceremony at the USS Utah Memorial on Ford Island, Joint base Pearl Harbor-Hickam on January 19.
He served on the USS Fanning, Whitney, Jarvis, John D. Ford, LST-361 and LST-611.
He died February 10, 2010.
