My Cooter's History Blog has become about 80% World War II anyway, so I figured to start a blog specific to it, especially since we're commemorating its 70th anniversary and we are quickly losing this "Greatest Generation." The quote is taken from Pearl Harbor survivor Frank Curre, who was on the USS Tennessee that day. He died Dec. 7, 2011, seventy years to the day. His photo is below at right.

What the Allies Did With Nazi/German Statues After the War
In these days of the incredible hatred and hate crimes shown toward any and all things Confederate it is interesting to see what the Allies did with anything applying to the Nazis after World War II.
It all had to come down and no new things could be put up.
To see more on this, go to my Saw the Elephant Civil War Blog from yesterday. Just click on it on the Blogs I Follow column on the right of this page.
